LASH EXTENSIONS

  • WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE?

Futura - The LaLa Strip Lash look without the bands. Extreme texture and fullness. Perfect for those that love the “makeup with no makeup” look.

Phase2 - This style can also be similar to a strip lash, but with perfect symmetry. Phase 2 is full, dark and versatile from day to night. Lightweight lashes are hand made into fans that range from 6 to 10+ fans. They are still safe for lashes since they are not even as heavy as 1 basic lash.

Revolt - This set features full volume, but is not going to be as dark or full as Phase2. This set is also versatile from day to night. These lashes are lightweight as well, but a little thicker so the fans are created from 2 to 6 lashes per natural lash.

CRASH&DAZE - This set is a mixture of REVOLT and Basic. We place 1 synthetic lash per natural lash plus some volume lashes. This look is very wispy and great for those who don’t prefer to wear makeup (if you feel that you are putting mascara on, or need mascara, which is a NO, then you need to upgrade!)

Basic - This is our most natural set. 1 synthetic lash is placed per natural lash. This set does not add volume, only length!

  • WHAT IF I AM ALLERGIC?

There have been very few reactions. However, they do happen. To minimize them, we do not use gel pads under the eyes, only micro foam tape. If you are typically very sensitive to products including laundry detergents, makeup or other types of materials we suggest that you ask for a patch test and we will apply 10 to 20 lashes per eye and wait 48 hours to know if you have had a reaction. Patch Test price varies per location but if no reaction occurs, we use towards your full set! Keep in mind though, the glue does not touch your skin during the lashing process, only your lashes.

  • HOW OFTEN DO I NEED INFILLS?

Every 2 weeks, sometimes 3 if proper care is taken. Most volume sets are every 3 weeks. It all depends on your personal care. Other factors may vary, like pregnancy, seasons, allergies (seasonal allergies), makeup worn, natural facial oils, etc.

  • HOW DO I WASH MY FACE WITH LALA LASHES ON?

Your face wash should not contain oils. However, if it does, keep away from your lashes. Simply wash around your eyes. None of the LaLa employees have had to switch their facial cleansers due to lashes. In reality, you shouldn’t be scrubbing your eyes anyways as the skin around your eyes is a lot more thin.

  • HOW DO I CLEAN MY LASHES?

We recommend using our cleanser.  You can purchase at any of our locations!

BLADED & SHADED

  • HOW LONG DOES MICROBLADING LAST?

You should only get touch ups every 1-3 years. The more we blade, the more scar tissue you build. If you feel that microblading is fading too quickly, you may want to consider micro shading as it does not fade as quickly!

  • I CANNOT COME BACK FOR MY 6 WEEK MICROBLADING TOUCH UP IN EXACTLY 6 WEEKS, WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS?

We can do your 6 week touch up service up to 10 weeks after the initial service. Waiting any longer than this will cause us to have to start all over with a whole new service. Receiving your touch up in this 6-10 week time frame is crucial to your results.

  • HOW LONG WILL THE PROCEDURE TAKE?

The procedure take roughly about two hours, sometimes more and sometimes less. Please allow a solid two and a half hour window for your appointment. We likely won’t need that much time, but this is not something we want to rush.

  • HOW LONG WILL MY EYEBROWS TAKE TO HEAL?

Skin takes a full 28 days to return to normal. During the healing process on your first microblading appointment, you may experience bald spots, peeling, etc. All of this can be fixed on your touch up. Be aware that brows appear thicker and darker at your appointment, but throughout the healing the pigment will heal 30% lighter and shrink about 1mm (I know, doesn’t sound like a lot but it really is!!)

  • CAN I TAKE ASPRIN OR BLOOD THINNERS PRIOR TO MY SERVICE?

In general, no. You technically should not even drink at least 48 hours before the service. If you decide too, we can not guarantee that brows will not fade more than usual. Alcohol is a blood thinner, as well as ibuprofen and more. During the microblading session, if you have excessive bleeding the pigment may not penetrate the skin as well. We suggest that you DO NOT book an appointment following a surgery that requires any kind of blood thinners! **Important Note: Do NOT discontinue any medications that are prescribed by a physician or which are necessary for your health! If you cannot discontinue use, you will need a note from your doctor to receive the procedure.** Please see the full list of blood thinners to ensure the safety of your procedure.

  • CAN I RECEIVE MICROBLADING IF I AM PREGNANT?

You must have a signed release from your doctor at time of appointment.

  • WILL ALCOHOL AFFECT MY SERVICE?

To prevent excessive bleeding you must avoid alcohol for at least 48 hours prior to service.

  • WILL BOTOX & SKIN PLUMPING INJECTIONS AFFECT MICROBLADING?

Botox and skin plumping injections such as Restylane may alter the shape of permanent cosmetics. It is best to receive microblading before or after the injections have settled so we know exactly where your brows naturally sit!

  • CAN I RECEIVE MICROBLADING IF I AM ON ACCUTANE?

Accutane users must be off Accutane for at least 1 year before undergoing the microblading proceedure.

  • IS MICROBLADING PAINFUL?

To some, yes. To some, no. This is a tattoo. We do use numbing before and throughout the service. The good news is, the longest part of your service is making sure your brow shape is perfect AND we numb for 20 minutes beforehand!

LIPS

  • What is Lip Blush?

Lip blush is a type of Permanent Makeup (or Cosmetic Tattoo) that involves gently implanting pigment into the lips to adds colour and definition. It can be used to enhance the natural colour of your lips, or to create a new look altogether. Lip blush is often used to give the lips a healthy, flushed appearance, and it can last for months or even years with proper care.

So how does it work: a tiny group of needles pick up pigment and deposit it into the upper layers of the skin. It can be used to correct asymmetry of the lips, even out tone and help make the lips appear fuller. Unlike regular tattooing, lip blush is designed to fade and this helps give a very soft, natural effect whereas traditional tattoo's use much stronger pigments and are implanted much deeper in the skin.

  • Who is a good candidate for Lip Blush?

Who is a good candidate for Lip Blush?

This is a great treatment for anyone who loves the look of lipstick but doesn’t want the hassle of having to apply it every day, or the inconvenience of having it smudge or get on your teeth. Also anyone who has naturally asymmetrical lips, or who feels their lips lack definition. Lip blush can help achieve a better shaped, more defined lip.

Lip Blush is a great option for someone who wants fuller looking lips but doesn’t want any injectable treatments such as lip filler.

It is ideal for those who are unhappy with the colour of their lips, and in some cases people with melanin rich skins whose lips are dark or cool toned lip neutralisation can be used to achieve pinkier toned lips.

  • Who isn’t a good candidate for Lip Blush?

PMU Lips is not suitable if you:

    • Are under the age of 18
    • Those pregnant or breastfeeding

  • What does the healing process involve?

What does the healing process involve?

The healing process is pretty straightforward - you will be given Lip Blush aftercare instructions at your appointment, and it's important to follow these religiously. It's normal for the lips to look a little bit swollen and red straight after the procedure, but this will subside within a few days. During this time they will be sensitive so be careful when drinking hot drinks and eating spicy or salty foods. The colour will also be dark immediately after the treatment, during the healing process it may get even darker, but once fully healed the colour will soften and lighten by about 50%.  Please don't judge the lips on the immediate results as they will change quite considerably through the healing process.

A few days after your appointment your lips will begin to feel itchy and very dry, just like if your lips were chapped. It is super important that you don't pick or pull at the dry skin, no matter how annoying it may be! Doing this could negatively affect your healed result. You will be given an aftercare balm to apply during the healing process, this will help to keep your lips moisturised and alleviate any itchiness you may feel.

We recommend you avoid any sun exposure, heavy exercise, swimming, saunas or steam rooms for two weeks after your appointment. If you plan on getting any injectable treatments we advise waiting until 4 weeks after the second session of your treatment has been completed so that your lips are fully healed.

After about 5 weeks your lips will be fully healed and you will be due to return for your touch up - this session allows us to assess how the colour has healed, and reinforce any areas that need a little extra work.

In order to get the most out of your Lip Blush it is important to keep them moisturised and protected from the sun - we recommend using an SPF lip balm to make sure they stay looking their best for as long as possible!

  • Can I get Lip Blush if I’ve had lip fillers?

Yes it is perfectly safe to have Lip Blush if you have had lip filler before. The two treatments actually work really well together, especially if you’re looking for extra volume in your lips. You should make sure that you leave at least a few weeks in between the two treatments to allow the lips time to heal.

  • How long does lip blush last?

How long does lip blush last?

Lip blush can last anywhere from around 12-18 months, but this does depend on a few factors such as aftercare and lifestyle. If you drink alcohol, smoke or spend a lot of time in the sun or on sunbeds then your Lip Blush will fade quicker. Another thing to consider is the skin care you use. If you use lots of exfoliating products this will cause the pigment to fade quicker. Generally speaking, with proper aftercare your Lip Blush could last up to 2 years which makes it perfect for someone who wants an alternative to injectable lip fillers..

  • What affects the longevity of Lip Blush?

Many factor will have an impact on how long your Lip Blush results last for, for example:

Skin type - typically those with oily skin find the pigment will fade quicker

Lifestyle - things such as smoking or sun exposure can affect the longevity

Skincare - products such as retinol or manual exfoliants can accelerate fading

  • HOW LONG WILL THE PROCEDURE TAKE?

The procedure take roughly about two hours, sometimes more and sometimes less. Please allow a solid two and a half hour window for your appointment. We likely won’t need that much time, but this is not something we want to rush.

  • What does the process involve?

The Lip Blush process usually takes around 60-90 minutes depending on the extent of the treatment, not including your consultation. First, your technician will clean and prep your lips for the procedure. Next you will look at colours, we recommend choosing a colour similar to your everyday lipstick. They will then draw on a shape - this is where they will work to create a better shape, and correct any asymmetry that you may have. Finally the technician will begin to implant the pigment into the skin using a delicate shading technique. To finish you will be given aftercare instructions on how to look after your new Lip Blush, and an aftercare balm will be applied to sooth your freshly tattooed lips.
