Here is the 411 on everything your lash artist wants you to know!
No mascara is the BEST mascara
Most mascara’s are oil based, which as you know are a no no when it comes to lash extensions. Oil is a lash extension’s kryptonite. Showing up to your appointment with mascara in your lashes forces us to spend time cleansing them and takes away from the time that we get to spend lashing you. Applying lash extensions over mascara residue shortens your retention; so be sure to have squeaky clean lashes for every appointment!
Always have a clean lash spoolie on hand
It’s important to brush your lashes daily to help hide any gaps and keeps them fluffy while sitting straight on the natural lash.
Longer lash extensions does not always give you drama
If your extensions are too long there are a couple things that could occur:
- We base length off of the length and integrity of your natural lash. If you don’t have naturally long lashes, having too long of an extension on your natural lashes can damage them because they aren’t able to support it.
- Retention of your extensions won’t be as good as it should be. Longer lashes don’t always last as long which is why we suggest short to medium length for most clients!
Comfort is key
As lash artists, we want you to be comfortable and relaxed to enjoy yourself for the duration of your time at LaLa Lash. If you feel discomfort at any time, let us know!
Lashes are H2O friendly
Don’t be afraid to get your lashes wet. If you have a beach vacation or any out of town pool parties coming up, lashes can handle it. – It’s always nice when you don’t have mascara running down your face! With every full set appointment, we send you home with our foaming lash cleanser which gives your lashes a deep but gentle clean without damaging your lash extensions. No excuses, ladies – clean those lashes weekly, please. We promise you won’t regret it!
